Vincent Renou is the Assistant Director of the French International School of Philadelphia, where he also teaches Middle School Art. He was born in Tours, France and grew up in Tours and in Blois, both cities on the Loire River. Universite Rabelais (Tours) and the Ecole Normale du Loir et Cher (Blois), and from the Barnes Foundation School in Merion, PA, where he occasionally lectures. He lived and taught in New York, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Canberra, Australia, before moving permanently to Philadelphia in 1993.   Since 2002 he has studied ceramics with Jerry Bennett at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia. His works have been exhibited on numerous occasions at The Clay Studio, as well as at 55 Mercer Gallery (New York), Moore College of Art (Philadelphia), and the Wayne Center for the Arts in Wayne, PA. He lives with his partner of 21 years, the artist Daniel Heyman.
